Planning April trip to Italy and seem to remember someone posting about a full day driving tour out of Florence to Tuscany. I think it included lunch.
Need a little more information. Florence is in Tuscany. Tuscany is an area and not a specific location. Any idea of the cities/towns/villages you want to visit? Do you want to do the driving or someone else?
Someone posted they were picked up in a van. A small group of 8 to 10 people. The tour went to a few small small towns outside of Florence and included a lunch break at a villa along the way.
Perhaps you read someone's posting about ToursByRoberto? Rick recommends Roberto's tours frequently, and Roberto is a frequent guest on Rick's TV shows. The website is ToursbyRoberto.com. I had a lovely time several years ago on one of Roberto's tours that included a couple of small villages, an old mill, lunch in a piazza of another village, and much wonderful conversation. There were, I believe, eight people (or was it six?) plus Roberto in his van. Roberto offers several itineraries. The first person/s to sign up on a given day on his on-line calendar picks which tour will run that day, and others who want to join that tour then sign up. Another tour that I enjoyed a couple of years ago was the Walkabout Florence Chianti Wine and Food Safari, which made stops at several vineyards and included a delicious lunch at an outdoor patio of one of the vineyards. This tour was a bit larger; perhaps 18 people in a van/bus. Although the group was larger, the trip felt intimate and personal and the guide was great.
