We are staying 30 mins south of Arezzo and 40 mins east of Siena (Bettolle) in late April and would love suggestions for day trips. We have Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montepulciano, Arezzo on the list. We are staying one week then driving to Lake Como for a week so don't want to do too much driving but want to explore the area.

Cortona is near Arezzo. The Celle of St. Francis is in the hillside.
