I know this question has probably been asked many times before but I would really appreciate the value of current experiences from my fellow travellers.
In mid October 2014 my wife and I are hiring a car from a three day stay in Florence to a villa in Castiglion de Fiorentina where we will be staying for 7 days as a base to adventure Tuscany.
I would like in order of preference the 'can't miss' things to see and do in Tuscany from this location as we are planning to venture out a daily tours and back to our villa.
Would really appreciate if you Please include restaurants, markets, vineyards etc. anything previously cherished as experiences and memories as we have read some guide books but again value personal experience that you adventurers may offer.

I am assuming this is your first trip, so maybe start with some of the biggies.
Siena's Il Campo. Have lunch and people watch if a nice day.

Thanks. Yes our first trip. We have locked in your suggestions. As we are having a 7 day stay in tuscany we love to hear any thing else that you have. Good and bad.
