Tuscany in Early November

We will be in Florence for four days in early November. We want to spend one day in Tuscany. We don't want to rent a car, and think we will see more with someone else doing the driving and explaining - however we definitely do not want a big bus tour. Is anyone familiar with a company called www.tuscansunshinetours.com? The hotel has recommended www.caftours.com and they have a min-van tour that looks interesting. Has anyone used either of these? Thanks

Not sure if he tours out of Florence or not (we were in Siena), but Tours By Roberto is fantastic. 8 guests plus guide in a van, so a small group. www.toursbyroberto.com

In my experience the Hotels sometimes recommend a particular tour because they have some sort of commercial interest- if they offer to make the booking for you if often means they will receive a booking fee from the tour operator for 'finding' them a customer. It isn't always the case- but happens more often than you might imagine. We took the Slow day in Tuscany tour from Florence www.slow-days.com and it was well worth the price. It cost a little more than some of the big bus tours but it is a much more pleasant day IMO. I don't know if they run tours in November. I haven't heard of Tuscany sunshine tours but they don't appear to display their prices online- not a good sign. Enjoy your trip.
