We are traveling in Italy and will be spending 4 days to see Florence and Tuscany. We have 4 adults and two adult children(from different marriages. We need 3 rooms or a villa. What area is central to Florence and Tuscany to stay in. The adult children would like nightlife.

Siena or Arezzo are more or less central to the area you describe; but I don't know about night life in either place.

If you want night life, you should stay in Florence and take day trips into smaller towns in Tuscany. Look at www.rentvillas.com or others for apartments or houses to rent that are large enough to accommodate your group. Contrary to popular belief, they do not all have a one-week minimum, and can be a very economical alternative for a larger group like yours.
