Tuscany first week of March

Hello we will be arriving in Tuscany on March 2 to the 7th. Because we are a party of six, we decided to forgo hotels and rented a villa in the town of Impruneto which is 20 minutes south of Florence. The villa is magnificent and set in the countryside. Our goal is to spend one to two days in Florence and then two days in Tuscany doing a combination of wine tour, dining and checking out cool villages. The closest option for us is Chianti Classico as well as sienna . I was optimistic that this would be and easy area to tour but the price for private transfer from our house to these areas is not ideal and it seems much cheaper to get an organized tour from Florence. The only problem is we are not in Florence as a base so it seems silly to get a driver to take us to Florence only to get a bus to take us back to wine areas. Does anyone know of a tour company that will pick you up at your villa and take a group of six directly door-to-door from your house? The concierge that comes with our house is extremely helpful, but she said that she is finding that some of the winery she normally sends people to our closed Due to it being the first week of March, and is going to continue to do some research for us, but I would like to do some of my own. Additionally, we want to check out either Montepulciano or Lucca (further drive) and again finding it hard to know how to get around when not renting a car and relying on private drivers. I’m starting to think that we should have just booked a hotel in Florence and organized everything we wanted to do from there as there is tons of tours that originate there but we wanted the laid-back relaxation of being in a villa. There is no doubt that we will see wineries and Chianti and the town of sienna in a single day. What other wine region would you choose given our location which is again 20 minutes south of Florence in the center of Chianti

Yes you are right. If you aren’t going to rent a car, then you better stay closer to where you can access transportation.
