Tuscany Country Side OR Swiss Alps on bernina express in 1 day

I am traveling to Italy and France this summer visiting Rome,Florence , Venice and then Paris.
I have one extra day, in which I want to visit scenic country side.
I am thinking between tuscany country side (Val d'Orcia or sienna and adjoining villages from Florence in 1 day) OR use that one day while traveling to Paris and take Bernina express through swiss alps.

Do people recommend one over the other.
I have been to Himalayas few times. Are swiss alps more scenic ?

I can do both but then I will have to cut Florence.(I am not a big art lover.)
Should I do that instead ?

Suggestions please?

I would add the day to Tuscany - beautiful countryside and much more convenient since you will be in Italy. We took a daytour from Florence which went to Sienna, a hill town I cant spell and Pisa with a lovely lunch in the countryside. It was a wonderful day.
Switzerland is fantastic but deserves more than a rushed day and Italy deserves as much time as you can give it

I agree with Diane. No need to rush a day trip to Switzerland. Save Switzerland for another trip and enjoy the Tuscan countryside with your extra day. If you don't want to rent a car I would recommend Lucca or Siena since you can connect these locations easily with rail. To get between Florence and Paris I recommend flying. It will more than likely be cheaper and faster and I like Skyscanner when looking up flights within Europe.
