Can anyone tell me their favorite cities to visit in Tuscany? We leave in 3 weeks and have rented a home 9 miles from San Gimignano for 7 days. I know we will be going to Florence, Siena and Lucca. I know what cities Rick Steves suggest but I was looking for other suggestions. Maybe some other small towns that are not so touristy and beautiful. Roberto I see from other post that you are from Florence can you give me some suggestions. Thanks!!!!

See what you like above. There are hundreds possible destinations that are beautiful and not all very touristy (San Gimignano is probably the most overrun by tourists).
On the left panel of the website there is the index by province (there are 10 provinces in Tuscany).
Not sure where you are staying exactly but very near San Gimignano there is Volterra, Certaldo, Colle Val D'Elsa, Monteriggioni and the Chianti hills aren't far at all. These should be you must do, given the proximity.
Just South of Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico, Montalcino are all popular destinations.
However, if you have a car you are no more than 90 min drive from virtually any other town in Tuscany.

Greve is small and nice for a day trip. Siena and Volterra are nice. Go to San Gimignano EARLY in the day to beat the crowds.
