My daughter and I will be in Tuscany by car after October 8. What would be a practical central lodging place to explore until Oct 16th?

Are we talking 2017 or 2018?
Siena area is a common base. Pienza area is common as well. My intro to Italy was staying right in center of Siena for a couple of nights (perfect intro!) at Alma Domus and then using Agriturismo Marciano (just outside Siena) as a base to explore the region. I envy you all! :)

Look at this one.
Very centrally located. Most towns in all directions are an hour away. Wonderful hosts.
