TUSCANY BIKE TOURS

If you are looking for a great day in Tuscany the Tuscany bike tours are the way to go. For 60euro you bike 13miles, have a great lunch and visit a winery/olive oil 11th century castle. The guides, Andy and Keith were great and you don't have to be a great bike rider. Call for reservations 339-1163495 English spoken. From Florence, you will be driven to the beautiful Tuscan countryside. www.tuscany-biketours.com

I looked into this and it seems to be a fantastic way to get the feel of the Tuscan hill country. We have reserved and are looking forward to this added dimension to our tour of Italy!
Thanks for the great recommendation!

If you want a varied bike experience VBT (Vermont Bycicle Tours) has 2 Tuscan bike trips. Check out their website vbt.com.

We are doing the "Tuscany by the Sea" tour this September and have heard wonderful things about it. Our previous experiences both domestic and international with VBT have been superb. Biking through the small towns ia a great way to really get to know the country and it's people.

Happy pedaling.

You can also use a great local Italian couple's company: www.cicloposse.com We used them for a self guided bike tour of Umbria in 04' and are going back next month for a semi-custom self guided tour.

They do day trips in Tuscany and Umbria. Their bikes are great. Check out their website and compare before you travel!

I agree on ciclocposse. We did a private tour with Gulianna and Marco in 03 with them and it was the highlight of our trip. Much more expensive than the others listed, however. Maybe they have group day trips that would be less. They do have a web site as well.
