Hi Folks,
We have 3 nights booked in Montelpacino,
Yet to book another 5 nights. What would you recommend?
Love the slow road, and taking in the Italian way of life. Any favorite experiences there?

Where are your arrival/departure points? Are you driving? Have you been to Tuscany before? Because there are so many many options, these nutty gritty details help guide us.
There are many nice towns to see around and from Montelpacino, so it's probably not worth booking more nights in that area.
You may want to stay somewhere in the Chianti area if you like to explore wineries in old castles and abbeys. The small ancient village Radda in Chianti has been our base many times for exploring that area.
If you have a car, SP438, SR2, and SR222 are nice driving roads.
Montepulciano (note spelling) is in the southern part of Tuscany. You might target something further north or east like Cortona, Lucca, or Volterra. All charming, all with various day trip possibilities.
Lucca would get my vote.
Thank you so much guys.
Never been to Tuscany, I have a special place for Pienza though and could easily stay an extra couple of nights close by there. Any recommendations for accommodation near Pienza in the rolling hills?
Lucca sounds great and will definitely stay 2-3 nights there as well.
We actually have 10 days.
The Chianti region sounds lovely too and yes will have a car thank goodness ☺️🙏
The rest of our trip will be trains and planes.
Hi folks,
I have another question so we are in Tuscany for 10 days.
5 in and around pienza
3 around Luca or somewhere close by as we have a concert in Lajatico for one night
And then maybe 2 around Chianti?
We will have a rental car, and are flying out from Rome airport. What would be the best way to drop car back and get to the Rome airport?
Also being July how hot will it be? The other option would be do we do 3
Nights by the sea to break it up.
