Tuscany

Hi,
We are spending 2 nights in Florence. We have then rented a car and plan to spend 3 nights in more of Tuscany. We don't plan to go much further south than Siena. Can anyone suggest a good agrotourismo? Would it best to spend 1 night in Siena and then 2 nights in an agrotourismo that is centrally located? We would like to see Siena at night. What towns are your favorite?
Thanks

We really liked Volterra (stayed at an agriturismo) and Montepulciano (stayed at a wonderful place in the city center). Not sure these would work for trips to Siena.

Google Villa Arnilu at San Gimignano. Close to Volterra, easy Siena day trip, Monteriggioni, Certaldo, even Pisa and Florence.

Of course there are other villas in the area as well.

Agriturismo Marciano in Siena. Stayed there twice and it was a good home base for traveling to various hill towns on day trips. I won't go into all the details regarding the Agriturismo itself; you can read all the glorious reviews on TA but it's a wonderful place to stay however you do need to book ahead as it's quite popular and books up in advance. Staying there will afford you the opportunity to visit Siena at night. We took a taxi several times into the walled city at night. It's only a 10-15 minute ride.
