Three adults are looking for the best experience in the Tuscany Region. We prefer a villa and a location to for day trips to wineries, golf, interesting landmarks, great food.
There are numerous websites where you can search villas and agriturismo (farmhouses) in Tuscany. Based on your interests I would recommend something in the Chianti area, or anywhere roughly between Florence and Siena. Chianti is probably the most famous wine region of Tuscany (and one of the top in the world). This is the Map of the Chianti wine region: http://www.chianti.com/it/cartina-del-chianti/ This is the location of all wineries in the Chianti Classico Zone (zoom in) http://www.chianticlassico.com/en/territorio/mappa/ The Chianti is also where the first and most famous Golf club in Tuscany is located, at the Ugolino Golf Club, just south of Florence: http://www.golfugolino.it/nuovo/eng/home.asp Golf Clubs at Castelfalfi and at La Bagnaia are also not far, in the Siena province: http://www.castelfalfi.co.uk/golf/
http://www.labagnaiaresort.com/en/golf-tuscany/92-0.html Historical landmarks are everywhere in Tuscany, but obviously Florence and Siena, both just minutes from the Chianti, are top destinations for that. As far as great food is concerned, you will have a hard time eating a bad meal anywhere in Italy.
