WE are goin to be in Tuscany coming from Pisa and need to know if we can go directly to wineries or if we have to go thru tour co. Also would love to take a class on pasta. From here we are headed up cirque terrre then to piedmont for wine and food then the lakes. We will pick up a car in Siena for Pisa. WE love dry red wines and appreciate any suggestions.

Casa Emma was recommended on this forum and we enjoyed it very much. The Tuscan wine school in Siena does a great wine class to learn about that dry red you like...Chianti Clasico or Brunello and several others.
