Is there a good winery tour near Lucca? We are driving from Barga to Lucca and on to the south toward Volterra with a return to Barga.
Want to do it on a bike? I found this http://www.notordinaryways.com/tuscany-tours/tours.html Otherwise, I know there are a fair amount of tours based out of Florence and Siena. I would also wager something out of Pisa
Most of the winery tours run from major cities like Florence and Siena. Some of the wineries will allow you to visit for a wine tasting without a tour but it means finding someone who is prepared to drive and not have any wine.
I would try contacting one of the smaller tours which have some flexibility and can take you where YOU want to go. I know http://www.slow-days.com run small group wine tours in Chianti and will do customised tours further afield such as Lucca. Do a bit of research online before booking anything because prices vary wildly- I have seen prices of 500-800 Euro for a days wine tour for a couple which is plain crazy. Shared tours you'll be looking at 120-140 Euro pp, private tours you shouldn't pay more than 200 Euro pp.
