If you have had a good experience with renting a house for a vacation in the Tuscan countryside please let know. Any information will be appreciated. Looking for places in the Florence/Sienna area, but any other ideas are welcome.

This is outside of Cortona, but we have rented La Certosa from Classic Tuscan Homes four times. It is a wonderful property. I don't know how many are in your group, we had 8 people. they have some smaller options too I think.

We are renting a house outside of Cortona for a week the 2nd week in Sept. Upon my return, I'll let you know how it was. It has a pool and view of the valley. Pictures look cool, but haven't seen it in person yet.

You might want to look at Slowtrav.com. They have a good list of apartment reviews with Tuscany being one of the big areas. The reviews are very good and can give you a place to start.

Hank: Try Villa Il Palagio in Panzano - right between Florence and Siena. It is beautiful - we have stayed there three times and cannot wait to return. The website is www.infochianti.com. Have fun.
