Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions...I will follow up on them. I am going to see the exhibition of the Shroud of Turin--probably first week of May. Since Steve's Italy guide does not cover Turin at all, I need recommendations for lodging and eating in Turin--only for 1 or 2 nights max. The Shroud is in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist which is in the vicinity of corso Regina Margharita (as near as I can tell). Any suggestions for single room w/private bath at reasonable price; also places to eat? From there I will go to Cinque Terre, but will check Helpline first for lodging recs there. Thanks.
