Any recommendations for a hotel (reasonable-traveling alone) in Turin for one or two nights. Going there to see the Shroud of Turin exhibition. Since Rick's book does not cover Turin, I am at a loss.....Patricia

I used Hotel Urbani http://www.hotelurbani.it/index_eng.php
Mostly because the price was good. The location was a block on the 'wrong side' of Vittorio Emanuele but we saw no problem with the neighborhood, it was ethnic but felt safe. We walked to many of the sites including where the shroud is kept.
The hotel itself was very nice.

We stayed at the Hotel Victoria and it was very, very nice. Staff were exceptionally helpful.
