Turin Which Days for Superga and Sacra di San Michele?

Hi all,

I'll have 3 full days, and a few hours on arrival day. The challenge is that 2 of my 3 full days are a Saturday and Sunday, known for being busier with locals and tourists. I'd warmly welcome any suggestions on which day for Superga and San Michele, especially from those who've visited these and know first hand.

Must sees-

  1. Sacra di San Michele
  2. Superga
  3. Egyptian Museum
  4. Royal Palace (visit has to be on Fri or Sat due to Monumental Hall/Library Hours. Sad the Royal Armory will be closed during my visit, was really looking forward to that part.
  5. Palazzo Madama (can do this on arrival Thursday afternoon)
  6. Mole Lift (the architecture of the building interests me, not sure if the museum would. Plan on buying Torino = Piemonte Card that gets me free museum entrance and a discount on lift ticket)

Planning my visits to Superga and Sacra di San Michele has been a bit of a puzzle! I see that Superga has special evening hours from 9 PM to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, which makes me wonder if visiting in the morning or late afternoon on Saturday might help avoid the crowds. I’m also curious if Sundays tend to be busier due to mass attendees at both.

Sacra di San Michele offers a shuttle service and guided tours on the weekends, which definitely makes it easier for others to explore. I prefer a more independent experience, so won't be taking a tour. It seems to me that Sacra di San Michele might handle larger crowds better, but I could be mistaken. Ideally, I'd love to find less busy times at each, but there is no way to predict that.

I could make it easier by flipping a coin to solve the puzzle.
