I needed a hotel by the train station in Turin for May...found one to my liking by booking on www.venere.com
You can search by $$, **, location.
venere has worked for me in Milan, Florence and Bologna.

PS. I posted a question about Turin over a month ago and got NO replies....looks like it's not a touristy place.
