Tucci Returns

Stanley Tucci has made a deal with the National Geographic channel for ten episodes of "Tucci--The Heart of Italy." He will explore the "cuisine and culture" or ten regions of Italy.

You may remember his series, "Searching for Italy," was dropped by CNN after they decided to cut back on docuseries.

Production will begin next month. No date yet for airing.

I thoroughly enjoyed his "searching for Italy" series, more for pure fantasy, but not so much for practical "where to go" fare. There was some practical, but many, a bit exclusive spots.

Though I did find it funny when he went to Bar San Calisto in Rome, a place we spent some afternoons and mornings, as did he, in an earlier life. But that was not really for the food, but as a dive coffee spot.

Other than that, I do enjoy his presentation and style, over the inane prattering of "Phil", so look forward to what might be on offer.
