tsuggestions for transportation to airport

So, romecabs must be as good as everyone says because they're already booked for the day and time we need. Does anyone have other suggestions for reserving a cab or limo to the Fiumicino airport? We are leaving very early in the morning, so would like to have something reserved just to be safe. Thanks for your help with this.

Our hotel arranged for cab for early AM (5AM) to airport from down town Rome to airport and he was ready and waiting for us, I think it was about 30 euro but not sure. Can you contact your hotel and see if they can arrange something for you?

Your hotel should be able to do this. Taxi drivers are used to very early morning departures from Rome to the airport.

Thanks, everyone. The hotel let me know that there is a taxi stand very, very close to the hotel and there shouldn't be a problem with getting a taxi even at 4 in the morning. I still wanted to have something reserved, just for my own peace of mind. I could probably get them to reserve one for me if I ask again. Has anyone ever used www.romashuttle.com ? Marge

I think that you will be paying more than 30 Euros for the ride with the prices for fuel in Italy now. When we stayed at the Hilton, the average quote this May was 50 euros for the trip to the airport.

I've used Rome Airport Shuttle http://www.rome-airport-shuttle.com/
many times for both individual rides to and from the airport and for large groups (15+ people). They have always been prompt no matter the time of day (once at 4:45 a.m.) and courteous. At 16 euros, it's a great deal and there's no reason to pay the much higher rates for a taxi. Sometimes, I've been the only person on the shuttle.
