Trying to get tickets to the Capitoline Museum, but unable so far

I've been trying to book these online for a visit in a few weeks, but can't manage to set up the required account to complete my purchase. It requires that I enter a code sent to my mobile phone, but no code ever comes. I sent a message asking for help and contacted their technical support but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone have a guess about needing these in advance? If I can't get through is it likely or possible that we would be able to book them at the door? There supposedly are spaces available on the date I want, so that shouldn't have any effect on this. Thanks.

No need to have in advance. The crowds wear themselves out in the nearby Forum and Colosseum, few seem to make it up the hill.

Most (including myself) report no, to a very small line to get in.

Another vote for Paul's answer. I had to wait about 5-6 minutes for the staff to get back to their windows from some kind of break - can't remember if it was lunch or an AM break or what. Not an onerous wait and there were maybe 3 people ahead of me.

This is a wonderful museum!

I went to this museum in October 2022 and was able to get a ticket same day. I was there on a weekday and it wasn’t crowded at all. Fabulous museum!

Ditto for us. We were there one February and just waited on a short line.

As with the others, bought the tickets at the door and waited less than 10 minutes.

Tip: if you want the audioguides you rent them at the same window as you pay for admission, not at a separate desk inside. You can guess how we found out ;-) We thought they were informative but they have a suggested order of visit that was a bit hard to follow at times.

@John!! Thanks for posting that because I thought it was just me...especially when I got to the upper floors. Yikes.
