Hi- I have been trying for weeks to get a direct ticket/time for Pantheon. I found the official site www.museaiitaliani.it but it is super confusing. I was able to pick a time/day (only 5 EUR) but then I had to create an account. No big deal. Then it wants me to enter my SPID?!?! This is what it says:
SPID, the Public Digital Identity System, is the access system that allows you to use, with a single digital identity, the online services of the Public Administration and accredited private individuals. If you already have a digital identity, log in with your carrier's credentials. If you don't have a digital identity yet, request one from one of the managers. You can find more information on the website of the Agency for Digital Italy.
So am I correct in assuming because I am an American I am just going to have to pay 4x the price for a ticket from a tour agency? I don't want to "walk up" the day of and I really don't want to spend another hour going down the rabbit hole trying to get a SPID (whatever that is). Any suggestions? Am I going to run into the same thing getting Uffizi, Academia, and Bobili tickets? I just wanted to buy direct. I don't need a high priced tour. Any help greatly appreciated!!
