Is everyone else having trouble with the Trenitalia website? I had no problems a week ago, but now there is no choice between contract buyer and non contract buyer.
I have been trying to buy online tickets for the last hour or so and I cannot figure out how to do it without being a resident of Italy. I can't seem to register and I can't seem to purchase without being registered. The website is driving me crazy. Relieved to hear maybe it's not just me.

I had asked the exact same question and finally figured it out. the non sono part is only for the frecia trains and some of the inter city...on the regionale ones it doesnt' show up. So I have decided to just buy the tickets for the ones I can and take the connecting regional trains buying tickets at the station. try that and see if it works? cheri
Hello Cheri,
You are a booking Genius! It worked by taking out the regional train. Thank you SO much!
Works for me too! And I received a confirming email. Thank you Cheri, and Leslie too for the p.m. and encouragement!

Yeah! I love to research travels so stuck with it. As when you print out your tickets, be sure to do the attachment they send since it has the scan able code on it. My printer did not scan the whole page so I had to reduce the size of the print so everything was printed out. Happy travels, Cheri
You can only book regional trains 7 days in advance online. If you take those out of your travel plans you should be able to book the rest of your trip. Just buy the regional tickets when you get to Italy. They are not discounted and never sell out.

The website www.italiarail.com is an authorized agent for trenitalia. Easy to get e-ticket and they only charge $5 servicing fee.
(I couldn't get anywhere with trenitalia either).
