I booked a tour a month ago with dark rome tours to get a guided tour for the colosseum with access to the lower level and upper level. all was fine and now today they email me saying that due to unforseen circumstances they cannot offer that tour on that date and offered to let me switch to another date, but I have already booked things on other day I will be there and this was the day I had set aside for this tour. I really want to see the underground area and every site I am going to including the colosseum website is showing april 10th completely booked up for the underground tour! the only site I have found offering it still is tickitaly.com but I am seeing some bad reviews about them, as well as good....has anyone used them and been happy? I need help asap! thanks.

I found another tour available with italywithus.com they seem to get great reviews on tripadvisor. any thoughts on them? I guess april 10th there is a marathon being ran right by the colosseum and its expected to make entry take longer and more crowded. but its supposed to be done by 2pm. this tour is at 2:30

I have used Select Italy to book tours or appointments for difficult-to-get tickets.

I just checked the coopculture website and there are 14 slots open for April 10th. It's a 9:20 am tour.

not sure how your seeing that, I just checked again and it says there is nothing available for the date selected and gives me options for april 11th instead. you sure you're not seeing april 11th? I already booked with italywithus.com. it did cost more, but was still cheaper than my original booking, so that ended up working out. plus its at 2:30 so that marathon should be over by then. thanks.

It's 1:44pm. I just checked again and April 10th has 20 available slots. 13 for the 1:20 tour and 7 for the4:20 tour. There are also a number of tickets on the 11th.
