I laughed out loud at the memory of that scene you're referencing. Here it is for anyone that's curious.

From the article that was posted;
“Now I’ve seen people go up to Seceda with sun umbrellas and
flip-flops and get stuck because the cable car closed and they hadn’t
checked the lift schedules
That reminds me of Pompeii where I saw either fashion win-out over common sense or clueless behaviour of what you're getting into. People wearing flip-flops or high-heels while in the park. The high-heels especially. One woman with 4 inch heels was even trying to navigate a double-wide baby stroller through the streets.
I call it Shallow Travel: going somewhere because of seeing an “influencer’s” Insta. Very sad and disrespectful. I do,wonder what happens to the flip flop wearers who miss the last cable car…
Those farmers will install cameras and start issuing fines for ZTL violations.
Maybe get the Tshirt?

hey hey
@brad LOL LOL love it

We must got back from Cortina and agree with this strategy 100%. The locals we talked to said they dont even hike until late September as the influencer driven crowds have devastated the iconic spots. Hiking the Tre Cime required us to spend 40 Euros to have parking access at the trailhead. We were happy to do it even though there was bus service as it benefitted the community of Auronzo.
It's very sad. Mass tourism benefits few and the locals mostly suffer.
