Trouble booking Scrovegni chapel

We are heading to Padua November 14 and have been trying to book our tickets to see the chapel, but we've had issues with setting up our account. When we enter our Canadian phone number, the text with the confirmation code to confirm our account doesn't come. We've tried multiple phone numbers with no luck. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm on that site, but when I try to sign up for Vivo tickets with my email, it also asks for a mobile phone number. And then when I enter it, it says I have to enter a confirmation code (in theory sent by sms), which never come. Very frustrating! Interesting that you didn't have to give a phone number - right now it seems to be a required field.

I doubt that you will have any trouble in getting tix in Nov. We went in Sept 2022. We stepped off the train and booked for the next day. We stopped into the Chapel office and found out that we could have bought tix immediately for immediate entrance. Nov will be even quieter.

I am using the +1 - the website seems to accept the number but then the confirmation doesn't come through. Maybe it's just a glitch in the website right now?

Great to know that even if we can't get it to work online, we're unlikely to have a problem getting tickets once we're there. I would hate to miss out - I saw it 20 years ago when I was in Italy and it was one of the highlights of my trip. Looking forward to sharing it with my husband and son.

I was just there about a week ago. If you arrive Padova by train, there’s a TI office at the station. I purchased the “pica” card (used to be called I-Padova card), and booked next day at the chapel, all at the TI in the station. Card gets you free travel on the tram too, and entry to other museums, including Scrovegni. You also might ask about late bookings in the chapel. Apparently a later reservation gets you longer visitation times. Normal viewing is 15 minutes. Had a great time, peaceful City and not overrun. Day trip to Venice, or Vicenza, or others. Some great restaurants too.

Thanks for all your replies! I ended up contacting Vivaticket support and they were able to provide me with the needed code to complete the purchase. They were very helpful, so if anyone else wants to book ahead online and is having issues, I recommend reaching out to them.

I was just in Verona and was having trouble getting tickets for a nest day trip - the website showed the day and I could pick a time but then it said it couldn't issue a ticket - so I just showed up. On a gray weekday morning in October I was able to get a ticket for about 25 minutes later.

If you can't book I'd just make it the first stop on your visit - which is easy since it's first coming from the train station on the tram - get grab a ticket for later that day. I don't think the warnings about being blocked out apply after the end of September.

There's a good refresher/background video introduction as you wait for your 15 minutes in the chapel and then your group is allowed in. It was definitely worth it and 15 minutes seemed long enough for the small chapel.

Enjoy,
