While predicting the weather is always futile, would this time of year be enjoyable even if not necessarily beach weather? Have plans not etched in stone for either San Sebastián, Spain or Tropea, Italy.
Have heard the natural beauty of both places is magical . Just wondering which place offers more diversions ? Do love the beach! Would be coming from NY. Thanks for your help.
San Sebastián is beautiful, but rainy. Never been to Tropea, but I assume it's much warmer and drier in October - would still be beach weather there.
Tropea seems more isolated than San Sebastián. I visited San Sebastián in October and had a light drizzle on one afternoon, otherwise perfect weather. It has a fantastic reputation as a gourmet capital, easy visits to Bilbao, Bayonne. And you could hike a bit of the Camino de Santiago.
