Trip to VFR

Well, it's sort of a general confusion about itinerary. I'm going on the RS's Tour in March and have decided to arrive early - landing in Bologna around 2pm on 3 Mar then going by train to Venice on 5 Mar to arrive around 5p when the tour meets.

In my perfect world, I'd like to venture out from Bologna to see: Lamborghini, (maybe Maserati), Cremona and the violns, Monza(?) because I loved the movie "Grand Prix", and Milan for the pink cathedral and its roof-top walk, and if possible something at the "real" LaScala.

From Florence & Rome, I think I'd like to trip out to Siena, Tivoli and Naples & Amalfi.

Like I said this is my dream world. Any alarm clocks waking me up??

Shirley, are you talking about doing all the above from 2PM on 3 March to 5 March? If so, you need to look at a map of Italy. If not, please clarify, thanks!

I suggest that you extend your time in Italy AT THE END OF THE TOUR. Spend the two days in Bologna before your tour, or go on to Venice a day early to get oriented. After the tour you will have a better idea about how to travel; you can ask your tour guide about further travel. Your "dream world" would require another couple of weeks IMHO. I've spent lots of time in Italy and keep going back. Enjoy it.
