How will travel plans be affected by the recent floods in Florence? Are we good for September or October? Thanks

There were no floods in Florence. Only some minor creeks flooded the streets of some smaller towns and suburbs in the Florence metro area, like Sesto Fiorentino and Campi Bisenzio. Between now and September Italy might have to deal with the drought, which sometimes strikes in the summer months.

I just left there and all was fine in the historic center (aka the touristy areas you'll likely visit).
