Hi all, We just got back from 12 days in Italy. We visited Rome, CT, Montepulciano, Florence and Venice. I will write a brief review of each.
Rome
Hotel Smeraldo - fine hotel, small room, semi-unfriendly staff, but it was great for what we needed...a room to sleep in. It was in a great location, near the campo de fiori and pantheon. In fact, we could walk everywhere we needed to go from the hotel (colluseum, vatican etc)
Angel Tours - we used them for the Vatican tour, it was informative and fun
Restaurants - we loved da francesco, il bacaro and cul de sac.
CT
Stayed in francamaria rooms #2. Awesome view right on the harbor of Vernazza. We hiked all 5 towns and then took the boat back from riomaggiore to vernazza. This was awesome, we had such a great time in CT.
