Hi all, I've been so thankful for your knowledge and insight throughout my trip planning process- it has been invaluable! Anyhow, now that we leave for our vacation in less than a month, I'm starting to look at the specifics. I would again love your recommendations, or any comments in general. Here is our loose itinerary. I'm hoping to start planning some lunch/dinner eating choices (100 euro budget per day for 2 adults), gelato spots, and just general suggestions :) I've already posted regarding our Venice itinerary a couple of months ago... so are the next 2 legs... CT and Florence: CINQUE TERRE (3 NIGHTS) September 1: Transition- Venice to Cinque Terre - Lunch stop in Parma (recommendations) - Note: we could stay in Parma for 1.5 hours, or 3.5 hours... leaning towards 1.5 hours to get into CT earlier - Arrival Manarola - Dinner recommendations?? September 2 - Get picnic lunch materials - Hike between towns - Supper Cappun Magru (recommended?) - Sunset hike Lovers Walk September 3 - Explore Monteresso - Boat tour to Portovenere (lunch included) - Supper La Scogliera? (recommended) September 4- - Get picnic lunch materials - Train Manarola-La Spezia-Pisa - See field of miracles/eat lunch - Train to Florence - Nothing planned - Dinner recommendations? September 5- - All day market/Tuscan cooking class - Pitti Gola for wine/supper snacks September 6- - Accademia (12 PM) - Explore, shop (potential to see Galileo museum) - Food/gelato recommendations?
- Maybe Italy vs. Slovenia football match? So... thats all I've got... would love some feedback! :)
Are you driving to Cinque Terre? There is no luggage storage in Parma train station as far as I know, that's why I will be stopping in Bologna for a few hours instead on my journey from Venice.
No- we are taking the train. We have backpacks, and are planning to perhaps take a cab into the city centre. We're just looking to get some great picnic food, and head back to the train... :)
