Trip from Venice to Paris

Is there any kind of 6 or 7 day tour to take from Venice to Paris. Is it Ok to drive a car or is there a bus not sure rail goes along the coast line. Ideas of where we should stop and what attractions are a must see and places to stay. There are four of us traveling. Dates are Sept. 8-14th.

You don't need a car for the cities and it is expensive to pick up a car in one country and drop it in another. To get quickly from Italy to Paris, flying is often cheapest; see www.skyscanner.com. The faster ground route from Venice to Paris is through Milan, Torino, a bit of mountains, and Lyon. Or you could go via Switzerland and stop for a couple of nights in the Berner Oberland. If you wanted to include coast along the French Riviera, you could head to Nice first, then toward Paris.

See https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/transportation/trains/cost-maps for a on overview of travel time and full-fare ticket prices on the fastest trains. French TGV (fast) trains offer significant advance-purchase discounts and are less accepting of railpasses on short notice, so it pays to book ahead once you firm up your plan.
