Trip extension from Cinque Terre

I will be traveling to the Cinque Terre in June for 3 nights. I have 5 more days in Italy and need a good itinerary. Flying in and out of Milan.

I would head to Florence from Cinque Terre (assuming its closer to CT than Venice). Spend a couple of days in Florence and then to Venice for a couple of days (Venice is about 2 hours by train from Florence and it is about 2 hours from Venice back to Milan). Maybe even spend your last day in Milan - lots to see (The Last Supper [need reservations], Duomo, Galleria, many art galleries, shopping).
