Crushed, I had to cancel my upcoming trip to Italy due to the death of my stepmother, who helped care for my father, unable to live alone.
I have a single ticket for Michelangelo's Secret Room on October 1, 2025 at 9am. I don't see anywhere on the ticket where it states I.D. must be shown. I visited the Medici Chapel (location of the Secret Room) last year with the Firenze Card and no personal I.D. was asked for.
If this is even possible, which it seems so, I would love to give this ticket to someone who would enjoy the experience as much as I had hoped to. No fee, just a promise to use it should I forward it to you.
so sorry for your loss as well as having to cancel your trip.
And I was looking forward to your trip reports. Sorry for your losses.

I went in May. No ID required. Just showed the paper ticket to the person at the desk inside and was directed to wait nearby for the guide. Upstairs to the New Sacristy, down the trap door stairs and you and three other people get 15 minutes. Amazing!
sorry for your two losses, both your stepmother and the helper and carer of your dad so now he needs help from elsewhere.
It must be very hard for you, and you have my sympathy.
Very kind for you to offer your ticket forward.
I'm so very sorry for your loss.
I just got back from Rome last night - went to Sistine Chapel, in fact, on Friday.
It did say we needed ID - I remember showing it to the security guy. But he didn't check it against the ticket. Also, he barely looked at it, so maybe it just said on the website to bring ID, but it's not really needed.
I am so sorry.
Can't speak this site specifically but every website says that you'll need ID for museum attraction tickets when you buy discounted senior tickets and I have never actually been asked. I think these are all anti-pirating efforts and attempts to keep people from sneaking discounted ticket prices but the people at the door just want to get the lines processed and don't care.
The only place I actually remember being checked was one of us was randomly asked for ID after already being inside the Alhambra site in Granada, Spain for several hours. The potential difference is that actual government offices exist inside the site so there is a level of actual security aside from tourist ticket security.
As always YMMV,

I am so sorry for your loss.
I will be in Florence on Oct 1 and would be able to gratefully use your ticket. I am happy to pay for it. Thank you so much
