Trieste to San Marco Square in Venice transportation.

I am traveling on a cruise (June 2024) that will dock at Molo Bersaglieri in Trieste. I am traveling with my 86 year old mother. Venice is her on her bucket list. The cruise offers one way transfer to Marco Polo airport for $50.00 per person. Will it be easier and cost efficient if I then get transfers from the airport to the hotel? Is there a company you recommend ? The hotel is in San Marco and has a private jetty. I am not dragging suitcases, or her walker this year. I'm such a good daughter-you have no idea. We will be staying in Venice for 4 nights.
Thank you for your help and time.

A private water taxi will take you from the airport dock to your hotel’s private dock, so that would be the simplest—-avoiding long walks through the streets and over bridges. This is the website for the main water taxi service—-it looks like they charge €135 including luggage, which the driver will help you with.

There is a “shared taxi” service that is less (around 80 euro for 2 people and 2 pieces of luggage), but they will not take you to the hotel’s private dock; they will land at the nearest public dock. And if you have more than 2 pieces of luggage they will charge extra.

An alternative would be to take the train to Venice Santa Lucia, and a water taxi to the hotel from there. The cost for the taxi is €70. You can look up the cost of train tickets to see how they compare to the $100 you would pay for the cruise ship shuttle.

...easier and cost efficient...

Ease and cost efficience don't always go hand in hand. In your particular case, "erring" on the side of ease would be the better option. So, take the cruise shuttle to the Venice airport and a private (or perhaps shared) water taxi to the hotel's landing. Easy - peasy, but not necessarily the cheapest. We don't believe in just throwing money away, but it this case it'll be money well spent.
