We are traveling from Genova area to Crosatia at easter time. We have a couple of days including easter before we need to get to Duvb. Considering looking at treiste but then remembered istarian Pennsula. Does anyone have any thoughts on the choice between these two? Especially since easter may find many attractions closed sunday and monday.

A couple of years ago we were in Trieste during Easter, and everything in the city was shut down. (even many of the restaurants) But we loved the town, and had a wonderful time visiting all of the local towns near there. We used the Lonely Planet guidebook to plan our trip, and found its advice to be invaluable. I would post this same question on Trip Advisor. We stayed at a one star hotel in the center of the city, whose only redeeming virtue was its location. Again, I would mine TA for recs on places to stay, also.
