In Nice, the two of us were able to share a 10-trip multipass (validate twice at entry). Can anyone tell us if the 10-journey bus ticket in Trieste works the same way? (Their website is sparse on the rules.)

You're right. The website is vague. FWIW, it's always helpful to include websites: https://www.triestetrasporti.it/en/time-schedule-and-routes/tickets-and-travel-cards/
Since there is only a 35 cent total price difference between it and ten single-tickets, I would suggest buying single tickets.

Thanks. Yes, that is the site we’d found. Good point about the pricing — the discount appears to be too small to fret.
