Tried the Tmobile International pass in Italy?

We have Tmobile and used it last year in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. It was quite spotty and hard or impossible to get a good data connection at times while on the go. I had not opted for the International pass and so probably got a slower connection at times. I use it quite a bit for Google directions and such on our Iphones.

Have any of you had a good experience with the Tmobile International pass in Italy? I imagine in larger cities like Florence or Rome there would be few problems. Not sure about places like Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii.

Used T-mobile international in Italy this past March. Worked well in Rome, Florence, Venice, Cinque Terre, Voltara. This was just the regular international included in our plan

We've used the 10 Day (5GB) and 30 Day (15GB) international passes with no issues. Always had plenty of fast data. I suspect your spotty connection was running off 128Kbps, which is very slow.

Thanks Liz and Mary. I'll purchase the International pass. Our phones are essential tools nowadays while traveling. Kind of scary :).

i have always bought a local sim but this year tried tmobil as an experiment. before leaving i signed up for their go5g next 55 plan @ $70.00/month. came with 5gb of overseas data. before leaving i made sure to add the number to my bank and various credit card accounts. during the 40 days away from the usa i used my phone extensively to navigate and buy tickets online in spain, france, austria and germany. went to many small towns and villages in addition to big cities like toulouse and vienna as bases. happy to report that i didn't have any issues with the speed or connection that i noticed. the big benefit was that when, once in a while, my credit card purchases triggered additional verification i got the code via text on the tmobil number. the 5 gigs of data was more than enough for each month. i don't use my phone for data-heavy activities anyway. i am thinking of switching over to tmobil from verizon permanently.

Buy the International Pass! You will need it.
We used a data pass from T-Mobil for 7 weeks traveling Europe (4 weeks in Italy) and had zero problems. We will do it again every time we travel because it provided seamless phone use the entire trip.

We used regular T Mobile in Puglia and across the southern area to Sorrento and back to Rome. No problems.
