Looking for some input please. Picking up a car in Florence and driving from Siena to Treviso. Wanting to do day trips to Padua and Verona. We are not sure if it makes sense to return the car on arrival in Treviso and train it to Padua, Verona and then to the Venice airport or keep the car and drive and drop at airport on our way our. We do have parking at our accommodations in Treviso. Thank you.

Treviso is a wonderful city! I think you’ll be happy there.
If it were me, I’d keep the car. For a more efficient use of time, rather than day trips, I’d make stops along the way. Use Google Maps to plan a route that works for you. I’d consider this order:
Siena
Verona
Padua
Treviso
Venice
If you have time, you could consider an overnight stop along the way between Siena and Verona. If you already have your accommodations set for Treviso, this idea might not work for you. Check train/bus schedules to see if daytrips from Treviso are feasible timewise.
