During the Rome 7-Day tour, does it include going to Trevi Fountain?
Welcome to the forums, Mignon -
I haven't done this tour but if you browse through the reviews, you see mentions of the fountain in some of them, which indicates that it's part of the itinerary.

But even if they have to skip it for one reason or another (density of crowds around it being a possibility), you can easily go on your own during your free time. I'd recommend very early in the morning or late at night as, except for possibly in the dead of winter, the piazza the thing is crammed into is positively mobbed at other times of the day. You can see what that crowd looks like on livecam:

Do it as a walk-by to something else versus making it a destination, per se, 'cause there are oodles of wonderful fountains in Rome to see that don't involve being trampled, Bernini's Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the 4 Rivers) in Piazza Navona being just one of those. :O)
Oh I'm surprised that the username Mignon can be used twice :-)
I will second all that Kathy suggested. It looks like your tour is booked in the mornings and free times are in the PM. If you are in Rome before your tour starts, I would suggest an early morning venture to Trevi to enjoy and take better photos. Otherwise, the place gets mobbed and the area around the fountain is quite small compared to other piazzas.

Ha ha! It can be, which is why some people add a descriptive word or two to their name. It's actually one of the features I do not like on this forum and it's the only message board forum I know of that allows it.
And Mignon (OP), make sure you bring your coin(s) so you can toss them over your shoulder! Remember, 1 coin means you will return to Rome; 2 coins means you will fall in love with an Italian; and 3 coins means you will marry the person you met. 😊
I really like walking over to the Trevi fountain the most at night. Yes, it’s busy, but to me, that’s part of the atmosphere. I’ve been there when no one was there and also when it was closed for work. Both of those times, it felt like it was missing the festive excitement of being in Rome.
The same for the Pantheon. Go inside during the day, but be sure to see the outside of it at night for some gorgeous photos.
I agree with what Jean said. When I travel, I like going to out-of-the-way places and sights that are not crammed with tourists. But part of the attraction of Trevi Fountain is that it IS a tourist attraction. On my second trip to Italy with a friend (back in 2001), we each took photos of ourselves tossing our coins in the fountain surrounded by huge crowds (probably not as crowded as these days, but still..). It was a lot of fun joining in with the rest of the people who were all laughing and posing and having fun.
I am confident your tour group will walk by this at some point. I know we did on a walking tour on the way to dinner one night on our Heart of Italy tour. We stopped spent about 10 minutes for any coin throwers amongst us, and then we were on our way.
The "What's Included" section if the 7-day Rome tour says the following:
Evening walk through Rome including Trevi Fountain Rome panoramic bus tour Catacombs of San Sebastiano 7-day Metro Pass Ancient Rome walking tour Roman Forum Colosseum St. Peter-in-Chains Church Rome neighborhood walking tour Roman food tour Day trip to Ostia Antica Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel St. Peter's Basilica Borghese Gallery…and more
😀 Thank you everyone for the info! We have not been to Rome since 2005, so it’s been quite a long time. Our son & his wife were in Rome 2 weeks ago and said the Trevi Fountain was so packed they couldn’t get near the fountain. I’m glad they did get to see it!
And Mignon in Munich,
Nice to meet you! 😊
This is great. Nice to meet you too 😀
I really thought a problem with my account and therefore I've reported it. Sorry for that.
But I've changed my name now.
😄 And I just updated my name and location, too.
I think when I started on this Forum, then called the Helpline, many years ago I was the only Andrea. Now there are at least 3 of us.
In mid-March we were shoulder to shoulder on a weeknight. It was close to our Airbnb so we popped by a few times but the one night around 9 p.m. we went to see it after dark, oh my goodness the crowds. Can't imagine that place in the summer.
Good advice to visit Trevi Fountain early to avoid the crowds! That likely applies to any of the sights. We just returned from Sicily and spent an afternoon and night in Rome on the way home. We hadn’t been to Rome since 2003 and were blown away by the number of tourists! We thought it must be a holiday but our taxi driver that took us to the airport the next morning said “ no, Rome is always like this now”. We managed to walk by Trevi, the Spanish Steps and the Colosseum for old times sake. “ Mobs “ of people is a good description, so try and follow the advice of the other posters and get there early. We are hanging on to our 2003 memories as beat we can!
BTW- spent three nights in London and it was also over run with tourists! Get those elbows ready😀
