Trento train station luggage lockers?

Greetings. My husband and I will be stopping in Trento for one day to visit an aviation museum, then boarding the train again on our way to Florence. We are wondering how to deal with our luggage during the museum visit. Does anyone know if this station has luggage lockers?

Thanks!

For security reasons there are no luggage lockers in Italian train stations since the early 80s.
Bigger stations have manned luggage deposits where all suitcases are scanned and ID is checked.

Thank you, Dario. I was actually wondering how this could possibly work with security issues. I found something called BAGBNB that I'll look into a bit more. Maybe I'll start another post on this to see if anyone has tried it.

Hello Betty,

Just to let you know, we are visiting Trento in May and also going to the aviation museum there. We are staying in downtown Trento and the museum is not accessible by train, as it is almost 12 miles south of the town itself. I wrote to the museum to ask about bus routes, as we are only using public transportation and was advised there were no buses close to the museum. You will have to use taxi or Uber/Lyft to get there from the train station. If you go before May, please let me know your experience getting there and the museum itself. My husband is a general aviation pilot and loves all things associated with flight, so this museum although small, is an important visit.

It is actually at Caproni airport which is 4 miles south of Trento station. Easy taxi ride.

If you have a bit of time there, check out the Tyrolean style painted facades of the buildings in the Piazza Duomo. Or ride the cable car a short walk from the station up the canyon wall for sweeping views of the city and surrounding mountains.

@ Sam, thank you for this information, as I contacted the museum itself and they gave me the information on the museum. We are looking forward to the visit and glad to know it’s easy to get there and back!

@Sam, Thank you for this information. We might end up staying a night in Trento, and if so your suggestions will be very helpful!

I stayed at the Hotel Buonconsiglio, which is very nice, modern, moderately priced, and an easy walk from the train station.

Buonconsiglio is what Italians call the "Council of Trent", which took place here to reform the Catholic Church in response to Martin Luther and the rise of Protestantism.
