Trenitalia Website Access Denied

When trying access the Trenitalia website I keep getting the following error message, anyone have any ideas as to why? I have tried Chrome and Edge and both give me the same error message. This is really messing with my travel planning.

Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.trenitalia.com/en.html" on this server.

Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Can you just type in trenitalia.com and then choose the English flag (rather than using the URL with "en" in it) ? That worked for me just now.

(Then again, just clicking on your link worked for me. Have you cleared your cache / cookies ?)

I’m not having any difficulties accessing the site. I am not a tech person, however at this point, I would simply reboot the entire computer and try again to see if that helps.

Thanks for testing it for me, I will reboot and clear my cache and see if that works, all great suggestions. I did try to trenitalia.com and I got the same error message.

Are you using a VPN? If so, disconnect temporarily before accessing Trenitalia.

I am having the same problem on the app on my phone, using Google, using Safari on phone and computer. When I turn off my home Wifi and use cell data only, it allows me into the app and website. This leads me to believe that it's a WiFi problem. I've updated everything that I know how but nothing has fixed the problem.
I'm following your post to try to figure this out.

PS I sent you a PM

You may also want to try Italia Rail. Their website is synced with Trentalia, and is sometimes easier to navigate. Good luck!

I am having the same issue. I have found my Asus router is blocking the site both trenitalia.com and the lefrecce. site. Resetting the router has no effect. Asus chat had no answer. Troubleshooting settings in firewall and AI settings. If i resolve issue i will post here

Thanks JMCEGUY- I have a Netgear router and have Cox as my internet provider. Another user had the suggestion to disconnect from my Wi-Fi and the app and website works on my phone if I do that, but I really like to plan my travels on my laptop including making purchases.

I do have the same problem as Letizia, as well as Netgear router & Cox Internet provider. What's odd is that the Trenitalia web site worked until about 2-3 weeks ago... when I purchased a few tickets for our upcoming October trip. Yesterday, the only way I could retrieve my tickets was through my phone (using the same Internet connection as the computer!). It must be the router...
JMCEGUY: please let us know if you find a solution. Thanks In advance.

Hi. Having the same issue. It is not anything within my system. I can access it using my cell data but not going through my router or directly through my Modem. Are you using COX for your provider? I think it is a issue with them blocking the site. The fact I can get there using my cell and cell data points me to that

OK so i just ran a trace using chrome developer network tool. The request is getting to Trenitalia site and being rederected to a 302 error, access denied. It's not COX blocking. It's Trenitalia blocking COX's public address block from connecting to their server for some reason.

Found a fix for this issue. Fix 1. Use opera browser and turn on the VPN service. Fix 2 if using microsoft edge browser. Go to edge://settings/privacy. Scroll down to microsoft secure network and turn it on. Click on manage secure network sites and add www.trenitalia.com. Close browser and reopen then it should work with www.trenitalia.com.
