Trenitalia train tickets anxiety

Hi there i purchased train tickets on line from trenitalia website for may 2024 and i received email confirmation with two red boxes that state check in and barcode and another box was manage ticket. I accidentally pressed check in and barcode box yestetday does that mean i checked in for the may 2024 regional train ride or you can only check in the day that's stated on the regional train ticket. Im worried i now voided my ticket for pressing check in box a month ahead of day of travel,please help.

Download the Trenitalia App on your phone. Enter PNR number found in the upper right hand corner of your ticket. You should be able to see your train journey and status.

Your Regionale train ticket is only good for four hours after your start time. What start time did you specify when you purchased the tickets on-line? This is a big reason why I never purchase a Regionale ticket on line. For other readers -- since the price never changes and they never sell out, there is no advantage to purchasing in advance on line.

One advantage of buying Regionale tix on the app is convenience - you can purchase at your convenience, and avoid dealing with the ticket machine at the station. Also, if you purchase an itinerary, a Regionale ticket may be part of the trip as the connection to/from a reserved train.

You can validate your online tix starting midnight the day of travel. Once you've done it, you'll learn that it's easier than has been reported.

OP couldn't have validated an online Regionale ticket that far in advance.

I'm in the same situation. In "practicing" the check-in procedure, I inadvertently checked in. If you have already traveled, can you share what happened with the ticket?
