We are leaving next week for Italy, arriving in Venice. We will be taking the train from there to Florence. I want to purchase my tickets before we leave here so we guaranty ourselves seats on the train we need to take as we have a scheduled pick up time in Florence.
When I select my tickets and start to pay for them, it states unless I am registered, I will not get any receipt for the purchase. Seems I can't register with them since I am not a resident of Italy. So I will I be assured that my reservations will be there when we get to the train station? Has anyone ever had a problem?

Choose the option to continue without registering. After you complete the purchase, you will receive confirmation via email and will be able to print your tickets.

Thank you. That's what I was hoping. This is the first time in four trip that we will be purchasing upfront, and not at the train station.

Sure! You will also have an option to print your summary at the end of the purchase, before you get the email. Happy travels!

From Venice to Florence you can also use Italo. They have nice trains, a user-friendly website, and often slightly lower prices than Trenitalia.

If you want to create an account then use your hotel's address as your own address. Then create your account, buy your tickets, and with an account you can go back and look / reprint your tickets as many times as you like

I'm a huge fan of Trainline.eu. They have a great app and no booking fees. Used it on our trip to Italy in June. Works great

Thank you all for the replies. I purchased them from Trenitalia and got my email confirmations.
Now to finish packing.
