I am purchasing FrecciaBianca train tickets on Trenitalia. When I travel, will I need to produce the credit card that the tickets were purchased with? Or is that only necessary when you don't have your tickets in hand and need to pick them up?

Hi Halli. No, you don't need the credit card. The conductor will just scan the ticket or enter the 6 digit PNR code into their hand-held. They don't need any further info or ID. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you Bob. I thought this was the case but I didn't want to leave the card at home and then have a nasty little surprise.

Just be sure you were e-mailed your tickets with the PNR number. You cannot travel without this PNR number. And to receive your tickets, your e-mail address must be a '.com' address: other e-mail suffixes (ie: '.org', '.net', etc.) won't work. Happy travels!
