We leave for Italy tomorrow!! First timers!!
We have multiple train trips scheduled between Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre and Rome. We have downloaded the Trenitalia App. Is there any reason we should print out these tickets?

I plan for the worst. If my phone goes missing or has low battery for example. So I print all my tickets.

The tickets on the Trenitalia app should suffice. You can also take screenshots of your tickets and save them as photos on the cloud in case there is a problem with the app. The only reason you may want to have printed copies of the tickets is if your phone is stolen/dies/malfunctions/needs to be charged (but you don't have a charger with you).

"We" suggests there is more than one of you - does everyone have the app on their phone with access to the same account? That would provide redundancy in the event of one phone being inoperable.
Also keep in mind the validation requirements for Regionale journeys, such as those when traveling to and within Cinque Terre.

I was reading about the validation policy. Anytime after midnight is what I understand?
