Trenitalia summer schedule

Is it possible that not all routes have been d? At the Trenitalia websight, when I enter "From: Rome / To: Fuscaldo" for dates after June 11 "No solution found" pops up. If I enter June 11, I get several options.

I got an email today from Rail Europe that the new schedules were up. However, they charge an $18 booking fee. After picking my train for June 13, I found out the mini fares for it were not available, so I tried the next train and got the mini fare! Saved 18 Euro on the fare, $18 on the fee and I have a "ticketless" ticket right in front of me. Hope you are so lucky!

I'm not sure if the full schedule is up yet. I would just keep checking. Donna

I too am looking for train travel in Italy this Summer. We are not travelling till 1st August, from London to Paris, then Paris to Rome on 2nd. I have had no problem booking these through rail europe, but now I'm trying Rome to Santa Margherita Ligure for the 6th August. Rail Europe has an option Rome - Pisa - La Spezia - SML for a bargain £25 each, but it lists only one train leaving Rome at 12.15, and not arriving till 19.05. I wanted a train leaving 1st thing in the morning, and TrenItalia is coming up with nothing (I guess due to the Summer schedule change which is not yet on line) whilst pre June 11th there is a choice of several, though none as cheap as the RailEurope £25. I'm getting mixed messages as to whether I even need to pre book, some say wait and just book in Italy. What is the general consensus? I'm not very good at not having everything pre planned!

Rail Europe doesn't have all the trenitalia schedule. If they aren't posted on the trenitalia website then they are making a guess as to what the schedule is going to be. Just wait until the 12th of June to get the correct, full schedule. Donna

I don't believe all the schedules have been posted yet. I was able to book a trip from Rome to Florence and from Florence to Venice at the end of June, but can't yet book a trip from Florence to Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore) and it's in between these two other trips. It looks like this trip can only be booked a month out and not any longer. Just keep on trying.

The new schedules are not yet up. I do see a lot of the major fast train runs up but not too many of the IC and Regionale runs. You just have to wait until mid-June. As mentioned above, RailEurope is guessing. Try to buy a ticket for August or September. They'll take your money now but you won't see a ticket until after the update.

What Larry said. Last year I bought tickets from Milan to Verona for June 27 travel from Rail Europe because Trenitalia was not listing them yet. Rail Europe took my money and confirmed the purchase, and then sent an email advising that the tickets were not yet available and the would send them later. So then I had to stress over whether they would arrive before we left the US in June. They did, but I was not happy with the way they handled the transaction.

I just booked on the trenitalia website yesterday. I booked for train travel from Rome to Naples, Naples to Scalea, and back to Rome. From the 28th of June to July 4th. I signed up for the notification of the summer schedule release, but never got and email. Just happened to be browsing.
