How do I buy trenitalia tickets online using my credit card? it's doing that "payment denied" thing. My friend and I both are trying it and it just won't work. What is the magic word to make that thing work??

Use the search box. This has been well discussed in the past few days. It is problem and Trenitalia does like Am cc because of fraud problems. But the good news is that it is little advantage to buying in advance online. Buy 'em when you get there.

Oh, I thought I had to buy them ahead; I didn't think I had a choice! I'll just do that, then. Thanks!
PS: I did a search first and didn't find anything useful; maybe didn't look in the right spot?

Robyn: Frank is right, this has been discussed here--but when I do a search using the search box I don't come up with any of these prior discussions either, so it's not anything you're doing wrong (the site's search engine is not the best search engine I've ever seen). There have been many reports here of the Trenitalia website not accepting American credit cards. As Frank said, as far as we know, American travelers are just buying tickets when they get there.
